What changes the price
Door size and weight. A 16x7 double door needs heavier springs and longer cables than an 8x7 single, so the part costs more.
Spring cycle rating. Standard springs are the starting price. High-cycle springs cost $50 to $120 + HST extra and last roughly twice as long.
Age and condition of the hardware. If the drums, bearing plates or rollers are worn, we show you before we replace them. You decide.
Damage. A door that came off track with bent sections costs more than one with worn rollers. We price it once we have seen it, before any work starts.
Opener type. A belt-drive opener costs more than a chain unit. Installing one you already bought is from $175 + HST.

Repair or replace?
Repair if the door is in fair shape and the problem is a spring, cable, roller, opener or a single section. A common rule: replace when the repair would cost more than half a new door, or the door is over 20 years old and needs major work.
