If only one section is damaged, we will tell you. A single panel replacement is from $350 + HST if the model is still made.
Panel replacement
A dented or cracked section can often be swapped instead of buying a full door. We need the make and model, usually printed on a sticker inside the door. Send us a photo of the sticker and the damage through the form on our contact page.
Brands and styles
We install insulated steel doors from major Canadian suppliers in the common sizes, 8x7, 9x7 and 16x7, and order custom sizes. Insulated steel is warmer and quieter than a single-skin door. Raised panel, flush and carriage-style faces come in most colours, with or without a window row. A 9x7 or a custom size is priced when you send the measurements.
Aluminum capping
Rotted wood around the door frame can be covered with aluminum capping at the same visit, from $295 + HST.
How a new door goes in
- You call or send photos, and we confirm the size
- We give you the installed price in writing, and you approve it
- On install day the old door comes down and the opening is prepared
- The new door, tracks and springs go in, and the door is balanced
- We test it with you and explain the warranty
Questions we get
How much does garage door installation cost in Ajax?
An insulated steel single door (8x7) is from $1,295 + HST installed, and a double door (16x7) is from $2,450 + HST installed. Removal and disposal of the old door is included.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace?
Repair, in most cases. A fair rule: replace when the repair costs more than half a new door, or the door is over 20 years old and needs major work. We will tell you which one we would do.
How long does installation take?
A single door takes 4-5 hours and a double takes 5-6 hours, usually the same day.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, on new doors, through Financeit. Ask for it when we quote and we will set up the application with you.
Can I get a quote from photos?
Yes. Text photos of the door, the inside of the opening and the header to 647-584-4077, with the width and height if you have them, and we will send an installed price. For anything unusual we measure on site.
What warranty comes with a new door?
Door panels carry the Manufacturer warranty, 10 years, and our installation labour carries 3 years.
